Job Summary of Retail Process Trainee:
As a trainee for the Retail Process Trainee position, you will learn all elements of efficiently running a store in readiness for future store management. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing the daily store activities, ensuring overall store success, identifying staffing needs, managing schedules, planning operational strategies, and guiding the team's development.
Duties and Responsibilities of Retail Process Trainee:

- Supervises the day-to-day operations and performance of the team to provide the highest level of customer service for the customer Understands the overarching company strategy, as well as communicates and models the core values of the organization, to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees Handles customer concerns and ensures an appropriate resolution
- Ensures proper store signage is maintained at all times, as well as the quality and freshness of ALDI products Assists in the hiring of store personnel by reviewing resumes and employment applications, as well as interviewing candidates Prepares, manages, and revises weekly schedules to ensure appropriate store staffing levels
- Establishing and articulating job duties and performance expectations to immediate reports for the purpose of facilitating mutual understanding and successful outcomes
- Conducts store meetings Identifies training and development opportunities that will assist direct reports in achieving enhanced performance Conducts annual performance evaluations, recommending store personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate Achieves store payroll and total loss budgets Manages cash audits in conjunction with their direct leader according to company guidelines Monitors the competitive environment within the community and makes recommendations to the direct leader regarding adjustments necessary to maintain a competitive position
- Provides feedback to their supervisor on products, including recommendations for new items to introduce or discontinue. Safeguards the well-being of employees, customers, and suppliers by identifying and rectifying hazards, promoting good ergonomics, and ensuring the proper functioning of store equipment. Manages product displays and maintains appropriate stock levels through timely product orders
- Abides by all company policies and procedures while ensuring the protection and confidentiality of documents and data
Physical Demands of Retail Process Trainee:
- Ability in stocking products from store receiving to shelving and placing products, weighing a maximum of 45 pounds, on shelving at different heights. Regularly required to be in a sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and moving around the store. Must have the capacity to carry out tasks with or without appropriate accommodations.
Qualifications of Retail Process Trainee:
- The minimum age requirement to apply for this job at ALDI is 18 years old

- Proficient in ensuring and guiding others to ensure swift and respectful customer service

- The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Requisite experience of at least three years in a retail setting
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge Prior management experience preferred Travel: Full-Time Store Manager Trainees will often train at multiple locations and must have flexibility to travel within divisional requirements ALDI offers
