Warehouse Associate

Job Summary:

A Warehouse Worker plays a vital role in the supply chain by ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and organization of goods within a warehouse. Their responsibilities include receiving, processing, and storing incoming shipments, as well as picking, packing, and shipping outgoing orders.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the received stock is selected in a timely and competent manner to meet retail demands.
• Merchandise is moved within the warehouse in accordance with product handling rules.
• Methodically prepares merchandise for dispatch by organizing and classifying them, and receives incoming shipments from trucks or back-hauls by unloading them.
• Executes cleaning tasks to achieve the assigned cleaning objectives, using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques for optimum results.
• Operates in-taking inventory counts of warehouses, according to established norms.
• This individual places a high value on cooperation and interaction with their peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership, maintaining ongoing communication and information exchange as a means to achieve this.
• Proposes innovations to the warehouse management process for better organization.
• Reviews items, consults with the warehouse management to ensure product value, safety concerns, and sanitation issues are addressed.
• Acts and resolves concerns without external influence or intervention within the given realm of authority.
• Aids in the attainment of predetermined warehouse management targets.
• Carries out all allocated tasks with accuracy, proficiency, and conformity to established company policies and regulations.
• Executes the ergonomic program with meticulous adherence to the established procedures.
• Prioritizes safety protocols and operates equipment for the successful completion of essential job duties.
• Raises concerns regarding product quality, safety hazards, and sanitation issues with management.

Qualifications:

Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas and information to colleagues, superiors, and customers.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting and placing items that weigh up to 45 pounds on pallets at different levels is a routine task.
• Often transfer goods from storage facilities and ready items for transportation to retail outlets.
• Warehouse employees must be able to carry out tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking frequently.
• Working in a role of this nature requires the capacity to operate in varying temperatures, ranging from warm to icy cold environments, regardless of whether it is occurring outdoors or inside a cooling unit.
• Sound knowledge and the aptitude to operate powered industrial machinery safely is paramount.
