Store Sales Support

Job Summary of Store Sales Support:

In the role of a Store Sales Support, you will be responsible for replenishing merchandise, processing sales, and maintaining the store's cleanliness for a visually appealing environment. By working in harmony with the ALDI team and delivering exceptional customer service, you will enhance the shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities of Store Sales Support:

• Essential to be competent in job tasks with or without necessary support.
• Maintain a continuous demonstration of the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) outlined for the role.
• Executes customer purchases, undertakes general cleaning responsibilities, organizes stock on shelves, and maintains visually appealing merchandise layouts
• Offer unparalleled customer service, supporting shoppers in fulfilling their needs
• Promote teamwork with your colleagues and maintain open communication channels with the store management team
• Offer management insights on all products, inventory losses, scanning discrepancies, and broader operational challenges for enhancement
• Contribute to the task of conducting store inventory assessments as per guidelines and checking for inventory accuracy
• Ensures strict adherence to cash policies and procedures to reduce financial risks
• Ensures the protection and privacy of documents and data by complying with all approved company policies and procedures
• Supplementary roles as deemed necessary

Physical Demands of Store Sales Support:

• Competence in the handling of merchandise from store receiving to shelving; proficiency in organizing products, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelves at different elevations
• On a regular basis, employees are expected to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and travel within the store
• Authorized to perform duties with or without required modifications

Qualifications of Store Sales Support:

• You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
• Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Ability to stay organized, give attention to detail, follow instructions and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner
• Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
