Grocery Store Cashier and Stock Associate

Year 2 - $19.00, Year 3 - $19.50, Year 4 - $19.50, Year 5 - $20.50Duties and Responsibilities:Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.Work collaboratively with team members and effectively communicate with your direct leader.Uphold the security and confidentiality of all documents and data.Perform additional duties as assigned.Cashier Responsibilities:Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and neatly stock shelves and merchandise displays.Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting customers throughout their shopping experience.Provide management with feedback regarding products, inventory control, scanning errors, and other operational issues.Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses.Stock Associate Responsibilities:Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness for customers.Follow merchandising guidelines to create appealing displays.Organize new inventory and manage empty boxes.Operate machinery while adhering to all safety protocols.Physical Demands:The role requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the store.Stock Associates must be able to lift products up to 45 pounds and place them on shelves at various heights.Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age.Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.Capability to maintain cleanliness to company standards.Ability to apply and interpret company policies and procedures.Excellent verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Effective time management skills.Knowledge of company products and services.For Cashier roles: Ability to operate cash registers accurately and comply with state and local regulations for alcohol sales.For Stock Associate roles: Ability to safely operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers. Morning availability is required, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in a retail environment is a plus. A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is also acceptable.ALDI offers
