Job Summary of Shift Assistant Store Manager:

• Ensures the proper handling of operational customer concerns when the direct leader is unavailable
• Discerns and remedies hazards, verifies suitable ergonomics, and sustains the operational state of store equipment
• Upholds store cleanliness standards and ensures accurate store signage is visible throughout
• Aids the leader in ensuring proper stock levels by placing orders for required products
• Items are arranged neatly to capitalize on selling opportunities
• The position requires overseeing the quality and freshness of merchandise available for purchase, as well as ensuring the accuracy of product signage
• Assists the supervisor in accomplishing the store's payroll and total loss budget targets, performing inventory checks, and facilitating the training of new hires
• Supervises the team's daily activities, escalating problems to the relevant support or leadership level as and when required
• Guarantees that direct reports meet their obligations promptly and efficiently to maintain the highest standard of customer service in the business
• Abides by all company policies and procedures to guarantee compliance, particularly in maintaining the security and confidentiality of documents and data, as well as fulfilling any additional tasks as assigned

Physical Demands of Shift Assistant Store Manager:

• Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations

Qualifications of Shift Assistant Store Manager:

• Meeting the age requirement of 18 years or above is mandatory for applying for this position at ALDI

• Conforms to the state and local regulations for the responsible handling and distribution of alcoholic beverages
• Candidates are preferred to have completed high school or attained an equivalent certification
• Three years of continuous growth in a retail setting
• Education and experience merging to offer the same level of understanding
• Preferred candidates will have a background in management
