Job Summary of Store Assistant Worker:

The role of a Store Assistant Worker involves tasks like organizing and stocking merchandise, processing payments, and ensuring cleanliness to preserve the store's visual appeal. Your aim is to enhance the customer shopping experience by cooperating with the ALDI team and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities of Store Assistant Worker:

• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role.
• Processes customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to the store management team
• Provide feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
• Participate in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
• Complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands of Store Assistant Worker:

• Aptitude for stocking merchandise from store receiving to shelving; capability to place products, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelves at varying heights
• Required to perform a range of physical activities like sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and moving within the store
• Capable of performing duties with or without necessary adjustments, if applicable

Qualifications of Store Assistant Worker:

• Being 18 years or older is a prerequisite for being hired for a position at ALDI
• Proficiency in delivering immediate and courteous customer assistance
• Proficient ability to handle a cash register with accuracy and efficiency
• Adeptness in utilizing a range of equipment, such as electric or manual hand pallet jacks, floor scrubbing appliances, and cardboard compactors, with safety in mind
• Competence in executing general cleaning duties adhering to company standards
• Capability to decipher and enact organizational policies and protocols
• Superior skills in communicating verbally and in writing
• Skill in balancing independent tasks with cooperative team efforts
• Displaying proficiency in being systematic, giving careful attention to details, following guidelines, and multitasking in a professional and efficient manner
• Adhere to all state and local standards concerning the proper protocols for serving and vending alcoholic beverages
• Candidates with a high school diploma or similar qualification are preferred
• Preferential consideration is given to those with past retail work experience
• A synthesis of education and hands-on familiarity resulting in a matched level of understanding
