Job Summary of Store Support Staff:
In the capacity of a Store Support Staff, you will be in charge of merchandising and restocking items, conducting transactions at the cashier, and maintaining cleanliness to uphold the store's appearance. Your goal is to enhance the customer's shopping experience by working together with the ALDI team and offering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities of Store Support Staff:

- Oversees customer purchases, performs common cleaning duties, and arranges merchandise neatly on shelves and displays
- Enhance the shopping experience by providing exceptional customer support to all visitors
- Collaborate efficiently with your team and ensure open communication channels with the store management team
- Share a detailed overview with management regarding the status of products, inventory discrepancies, scanning inefficiencies, and broader operational concerns requiring attention
- Get involved in the process of store inventory counting as per guidelines and monitoring the accuracy of inventory levels
- Adheres to cash handling guidelines to reduce the risk of losses
- Maintains strict adherence to all company policies and procedures, placing a strong emphasis on the security and confidentiality of documents and data
- Supplementary duties may be demanded
Physical Demands of Store Support Staff:
- Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualifications of Store Support Staff:
- You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to stay organized, give attention to detail, follow instructions and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner
- Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
