Job Summary of Store Support Associate:

In the role of a Store Support Associate, your duties will include arranging and replenishing merchandise, operating the cash register, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure the store's appealing appearance. You will elevate the customer's retail journey through effective teamwork with the ALDI staff and delivering outstanding customer support.

Responsibilities of Store Support Associate:

• The ability to carry out responsibilities with or without necessary adjustments is required.
• Show consistent adherence to the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as specified for the position.
• Manages customer transactions, carries out routine maintenance tasks, organizes shelves, and presents products neatly
• Deliver outstanding customer support, aiding clients during their shopping journey
• Work together with your team members and ensure effective communication with the store management team
• Offer management insights on all merchandise, stock discrepancies, barcode scanning discrepancies, and overall concerns regarding products
• Engage in conducting store inventory checks as per instructions and overseeing inventory precision
• Follows cash policies and protocols to reduce potential losses
• Adheres to all approved organizational guidelines and protocols, ensuring the protection and privacy of records and information
• Additional responsibilities as required

Physical Demands of Store Support Associate:

• Capability to move goods from the store's receiving area to shelves; skill in placing items, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelves at different heights
• Frequently needed to alternate between sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and moving around the store
• Capable of carrying out tasks with or without necessary adjustments

Qualifications of Store Support Associate:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old to qualify for employment in this position at ALDI
• Proficiency in delivering quick and polite customer support
• Proficiency in managing a point-of-sale system with speed and precision
• Proficiency in the safe and effective use of machinery such as electrical and manual pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and compactors
• Proficiency in carrying out routine cleaning tasks according to the organization's expectations
• Proficiency in understanding and implementing organizational rules and regulations
• Exceptional abilities in expressing oneself orally and in writing
• The capacity to function effectively both autonomously and as part of a group setting
• Demonstrating proficiency in maintaining order, focusing on specifics, adhering to guidelines, and managing several tasks concurrently with professionalism and effectiveness
• Comply with the regulations set forth by state and local authorities when it comes to the management and retailing of alcoholic drinks
• It is advantageous to have a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Previous employment in a retail setting is desirable
• A blend of academic learning and practical know-how offering a comparable level of understanding
