Warehouse Package Associate

Position Type:

• Full-Time
• The work contract typically stipulates 30-35 hours of weekly work
• Individuals who start in this position will receive a wage of $23.75 per hour

Responsibilities:

The successful completion of designated tasks and duties is required, with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Efficiently managing the selection and reception of incoming inventory to meet store order requirements.
• The transfer of merchandise in the warehouse is carried out adhering to product handling regulations.
• Structure and arrange goods in an effective manner for transportation, strategically coordinating the process, and also unloading incoming shipment from trucks or back-hauls.
• Carries out cleaning duties to achieve optimal warehouse functioning and productivity by reducing unnecessary interruptions and delays due to safety and cleanliness issues.
• Performs stocktaking of warehouses, following procedures as specified.
• This individual understands the importance of communicating and exchanging information in order to cooperate and interact with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership effectively.
• Provides input to the warehouse management team on process improvements.
• Inspects articles, talks with warehouse managers about product value, possible hazards, and cleanliness issues.
• Makes autonomous and authoritative decisions within the assigned scope of responsibility.
• Assists in meeting the financial goals set by warehouse management.
• Performs all given duties with meticulousness, efficiency, and in accordance with company policies and protocols.
• Adheres to the prescribed methods for executing the ergonomic program.
• Adheres to safety regulations when operating equipment to carry out critical duties.
• Communicates to management about product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues that require attention.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

• It is common for individuals to regularly move and position items that weigh up to 45 pounds onto pallets located at different elevations.
• Frequently move merchandise from the storage area and prepare it for shipment to retail locations.
• Being able to sit, stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk frequently is a requirement for workers employed in the warehouse.
• The position mandates an individual to adapt to the surrounding temperature changes during outdoor work and in refrigerator/freezer settings.
• The ability to maneuver powered industrial equipment efficiently and safely is a vital skill to have.
