Part Time Warehouse Specialist

Position Type:

• Full-Time
• It is common for individuals to work between 30-35 hours per week
• Employees who are new to the company will start at a pay rate of $23.75 an hour

Responsibilities:

The ability to perform assigned duties and meet responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodations, is expected.

• Coordinating the selection and receipt of incoming stock to improve order fulfillment for stores.
• Relocation of goods in the warehouse is executed according to product handling guidelines.
• Carefully and methodically places and categorizes merchandise in preparation for shipping, and receives incoming shipment from trucks or back-hauls through thorough unloading.
• Executes cleaning tasks to achieve the assigned cleaning objectives, using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques for optimum results.
• Adheres to protocol by conducting inventory counts of warehouse items.
• Effective cooperation and interaction with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership is achieved through frequent exchanges of information and open lines of communication.
• Suggests modifications to the warehouse management process for better efficiency.
• Examines merchandise, confers with warehouse leadership on product worth, security anxieties, and hygienic problems.
• Exercises independent judgment and action within the authorized domain of accountability.
• Assists in meeting the financial goals set by warehouse management.
• Attends to all designated obligations with precision, efficacy, and accordance with company protocols and procedures.
• Executes the ergonomic program with meticulous adherence to the established procedures.
• Executes essential job tasks while abiding by safety regulations and operating designated equipment.
• Communicates to management about product quality, safety concerns, and sanitation issues that require attention.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

• The job often involves repeatedly moving and positioning items weighing up to 45 pounds onto pallets situated at various heights.
• Frequently move merchandise from the storage area and prepare it for shipment to retail locations.
• In the warehouse, individuals are often expected to perform physical activities like sitting, standing, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking regularly.
• The job requires working in fluctuating temperatures, from extreme heat to frigid cold, which includes exposure to outdoor climates as well as refrigeration/freezer settings.
• The capability to operate powered industrial machinery with caution and accuracy is necessary.
