Full-Time Retail Associate

Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00, Year 3 - $19.50, Year 4 - $19.50, Year 5 - $20.50

Duties and Responsibilities:
You should be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Demonstrate ALDI's core values and competencies while processing customer purchases.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Stock and organize shelves and displays neatly.
• Assist customers with their shopping needs and provide exceptional service.
• Collaborate with team members and maintain clear communication with management.
• Provide feedback to management regarding products, inventory losses, and other relevant issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.
• Comply with company policies and protect the security of documents and data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.
• Flexibility to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store.
• Must be capable of performing physical tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Experience operating a cash register efficiently and accurately.
• Ability to safely operate equipment like hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Capable of performing general cleaning tasks to company standards.
• Ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Meet any state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience is preferable.
• A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge.
