Job Summary of Merchandise Stocker:

Our store employees work many roles - from store associate to cashier to stocker - while providing excellent customer service. As a Merchandise Stocker, you're also responsible for merchandising product, monitoring inventory and keeping the store looking its best. Responsibilities of Merchandise Stocker:

• Capable of executing duties with or without necessary modifications.
• Demonstrate adherence to the role guidelines by consistently embodying the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Clears containers and organizes merchandise on shelves to display new inventory
• Facilitates the handling of new inventory; verifies correct routing to designated locations
• Removes and breaks up empty packages
• Operates machinery and follows all safety procedures
• Collaborates with peers and keeps the direct leader informed with relevant information
• Ensures the protection and confidentiality of data and documents within their scope of control
• Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor

Qualifications of Merchandise Stocker:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
• You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI
• Selects products efficiently and accurately
• Ability to safely and properly operate powered industrial equipment
• Gives attention to detail and follows instructions
• Effective time management; maximizes productivity
• Problem-solving skills

Physical Demands of Merchandise Stocker:

• Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
• Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving
• Ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights
