Job Summary of Stocking Assistant:

Our store employees work many roles - from store associate to cashier to stocker - while providing excellent customer service. As a Stocking Assistant, you're also responsible for merchandising product, monitoring inventory and keeping the store looking its best. Responsibilities of Stocking Assistant:

• Expected to carry out responsibilities with or without reasonable modifications.
• Maintain a persistent demonstration of the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role expectations.
• Places products on shelves after unloading inventory to keep items readily accessible
• Manages the allocation of new stock; ensures inventory is correctly assigned within the facility
• Eliminates and takes down empty crates
• Operates machinery and follows all safety procedures
• Participates in teamwork activities and effectively communicates relevant information to the direct leader
• Upholds the security and privacy of information and documents within their designated area of responsibility
• Assigned duties may include tasks not specified in the job description

Qualifications of Stocking Assistant:

• Candidates who have a high school diploma or a similar certification are favored
• Previous retail experience is a bonus
• Equivalent knowledge gained through a combination of academic learning and practical know-how
• Applicants seeking employment at ALDI must have crossed the age threshold of 18 years to be eligible
• Chooses products accurately and adeptly
• Proficiently managing powered industrial equipment operations with safety in mind
• Places importance on detail-oriented work and accurately follows instructions
• The key to maximizing productivity lies in effective time management
• Problem-solving skills

Physical Demands of Stocking Assistant:

• Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
• Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving
• Ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights
