As a Retail Store Management Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of efficiently operating a store, preparing you to manage your own location in the future. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily store operations, ensuring excellent performance, assessing staffing needs, managing employee schedules, and developing actionable operational plans while mentoring your team. Maintain proper store signage and ensure the quality and freshness of all products. Support the hiring process by evaluating resumes, interviewing candidates, and selecting top talent. Create and adjust weekly schedules to achieve optimal staffing levels. Set clear job responsibilities and performance goals for team members to achieve desired results. Facilitate team meetings. Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team performance. Conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend promotions or terminations as needed. Meet payroll and loss prevention budgets. Assist in cash audits and ensure compliance with company guidelines. Monitor the competitive landscape and suggest adjustments to maintain our market position. Provide product feedback to your direct leader, including suggestions for new items. Ensure a safe environment through the identification and resolution of hazards. Manage product merchandising and stock levels through appropriate ordering. Conduct inventory counts and reconciliations in line with company standards. Adhere to company policies while maintaining document confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stock merchandise, placing products up to 45 pounds on shelves at varying heights. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store. Molded duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

Must be 18 years of age or older. Capable of working independently and collaboratively. Possess strong customer service and leadership abilities. Ability to build trust and facilitate open communication to boost team performance. Proficient in applying company policies and procedures. Skilled at establishing goals and guiding team members to achieve tasks effectively. Experience in evaluating and driving team performance. Understanding of management principles related to budgeting and personnel costs. Ability to operate a cash register effectively. Capacity to safely operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. Meet local regulations for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. At least 3 years of progressive experience in a retail setting. A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Prior management experience preferred.
