Job Summary of Warehouse Operative:
A Warehouse Operative is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support efficient warehouse operations. These tasks may include receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials and products within the warehouse. Warehouse Operative ensure the accurate handling and timely movement of goods, helping to maintain inventory accuracy and workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities of Warehouse Operative:
- Essential requirement to perform responsibilities with or without necessary support.
- Manages stock selection and reception to promptly fulfill orders from stores.
- Moves inventory within the storage space based on the guidelines for handling merchandise.
- Systematically prepares and loads merchandise for shipment and unloads incoming shipments from trucks/back-hauls.
- Carries out routine cleaning tasks to meet warehouse appearance standards and safety requirements.
- Engages in carrying out warehouse inventory checks following specific instructions.
- Demonstrates effective collaboration and communication with peers, suppliers, and warehouse managers through regular interaction and sharing of information.
- Offers advice on improving warehouse management practices.
- Observes products for quality control purposes and confers with warehouse managers regarding product standards, safety precautions, and hygiene issues.
- Executes tasks and exercises judgment independently within the authorized domain.
- Supports warehouse management to reach their budget targets.
- Completes all designated responsibilities with precision, effectiveness, and in accordance with the organization's guidelines and protocols.
- Implements the ergonomic program in accordance with established protocols.
- Executes tasks safely by complying with equipment operation guidelines.
- Notifies management of any quality, safety, or sanitation issues affecting products.
- Additional duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications of Warehouse Operative:

- Regularly required to pick up and position goods weighing up to 45 pounds onto pallets at assorted altitudes.
- Systematically transfer items from warehouse inventory and prepare product for dispatch to stores.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, grasp, apply force, pull, lift, carry, and move within the warehouse facility.
- Complete duties in environments with temperature changes, like transitioning between outdoor heat and refrigerated coolness.
