Job Summary of Grocery Warehouse Worker:
Improve the ALDI customer shopping journey through team collaboration as an ALDI Grocery Warehouse Worker. Your role will encompass operating registers or equipment, stocking shelves, maintaining store appearance, and catering to customer needs. The responsibilities of a Grocery Warehouse Worker include receiving, organizing, and restocking grocery products in the warehouse and on store shelves.
Responsibilities of Grocery Warehouse Worker:

- Cashier Responsibilities Processes customer purchases, performs general cleaning duties, stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly Provides exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience Provides feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues Participates in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Stocker Responsibilities Stocks shelves and rotates product properly to guarantee fresh product is available for the customer Follows merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays Organizes new inventory, removes and breaks down empty boxes Operates machinery and follows all safety procedures
- Receive, unload, and organize grocery shipments in the warehouse or backroom area.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and storage areas with grocery items following company guidelines
Physical Demands of Grocery Warehouse Worker:
- Part of the duties of a store Stocker includes the continual requirement to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store
- Ability to arrange goods from store receiving to shelving; capacity to position products on shelves at different heights, weighing up to 45 pounds
Qualifications of Grocery Warehouse Worker:
- Only individuals who are 18 years or older are allowed to take part
- Capacity to offer swift and polite customer service; Capacity to carry out general cleaning duties to meet company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures Excellent verbal communication skills
- Efficient allocation of time
- Competency in running a cash register efficiently and accurately Cashier: Following state and local regulations for the correct handling and sale of alcoholic beverages Stocker: Skill in safely and correctly using equipment like electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers
- Availability in the morning is essential for ALDI stockers to attend to store operations and begin shifts as early as 5:00 a.m.
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred, along with previous experience in a retail environment. ALDI acknowledges that a balance of education and hands-on experience can deliver the same level of expertise
