Responsibilities of Grocery Store Clerk:
- Capable of fulfilling responsibilities with or without accommodations: Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain open communication with supervisors to uphold the security and privacy of all data and paperwork, in addition to executing any other required tasks
- Cashier tasks include processing customer orders and upholding cleanliness standards within the establishment. They are tasked with restocking goods and efficiently arranging items on display. Providing exemplary customer support by aiding clients and addressing their queries is essential. Notifying management about any inventory inconsistencies and offering suggestions is a critical aspect. Participating in routine stock inventories to ensure correctness and abiding by cash management regulations to minimize any losses are also important obligations
- Responsibilities involve efficiently managing incoming inventory and disposing of empty containers in an organized manner, as well as operating equipment in adherence to safety regulations
- Tasks for Store Associates: Offering support for curbside shopping orders Carrying out cashier and stocking responsibilities Physical Challenges: Consistently required to be seated, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving around the store Ability to restock goods and handle items weighing up to 45 pounds at varying heights
Qualifications of Grocery Store Clerk:
- Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to maintain cleanliness to the company’s standards Competence in interpreting company policies and procedures Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team Effective time management skills Knowledge of company products and services
- Additional Skills: Ability to operate cash registers accurately Compliance with local and state regulations for alcohol sales Ability to safely operate equipment as needed Morning availability is a must for Stockers, starting as early as 5:00 a.m.
- Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in retail is a plus A combination of education and experience will be considered
