Part-Time Cashier and Stock Associate

Position Type: Part-Time
Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00 | Year 3 - $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to your leader.
• Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data in your area.
• Perform other duties as assigned, promoting a team-oriented environment.

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer purchases and return items when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, and present merchandise appealingly.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and assist customers throughout their shopping journey.
• Provide feedback on product performance and inventory management to the management.
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize loss.

Stock Associate Responsibilities:

• Properly stock shelves and rotate products to maintain freshness.
• Follow merchandising planograms for visually appealing displays.
• Organize and manage new inventory, including removing and breaking down packaging.
• Safely operate machinery while adhering to all safety protocols.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly engage in activities such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, lifting, and walking.
• As a Stock Associate, you’ll need to stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.

Qualifications:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in delivering prompt and courteous customer service.
• Able to maintain cleanliness per company standards.
• Understand and apply company policies and procedures effectively.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a team.
• Strong time management skills.
• Familiarity with company products and services.

Additional Requirements:

• Cashier: Ability to operate a cash register efficiently.
• Compliance with local laws regarding the sale of alcohol.
• Stock Associate: Safely operate equipment such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Availability to work morning shifts with start times as early as 5:00 a.m. for Stock Associates.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience is beneficial.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
